Piotr Kuszewski

Assistant Professor

Piotr Kuszewski is assistant professor at the Warsaw School of Economics. His research focuses on strategic implications of regulation, industrial organization of financial markets, and role of smart contracts on financial markets. Professor Kuszewski teaches game theory, credit risk management, and mutual funds portfolio management. At the Warsaw School of Economics Kuszewski is also Head of Postgraduate Studies of Compliance. Piotr Kuszewski holds PhD degree in economics. He is graduate of Northwestern University and the Warsaw School of Economics.
 
Piotr Kuszewski is also experienced manager. In 2015-2016 he managed CEE and Polish businesses of  French insurance group April. In 2011-2015 Piotr Kuszewski worked at the State Development Bank of Poland (BGK) where he was CEO of investment fund management subsidiary (TFI BGK), head of investment banking and head of structured finance. As an employee of BGK he was involved in several large investment projects such as infrastructure financing and creating PE/VC / real estate investment funds. In 2007-2010, he was Vice President of the management board and CFO of PZU Życie SA, the largest life insurance company in CEE. He was responsible for finance and risk management.
