Emil Ślązak

Professor at SGH Warsaw School of Economics

Head of the Retail and Corporate Banking Department at the Banking Institute at the Warsaw School of Economics. Graduate of the
Warsaw School of Economics with double Master’s Degree in Finance and Banking and Management and Marketing. He completed a full-time doctoral program at the Warsaw School of Economics, where he received a PhD in economics in 2003. 
In 2016, he obtained a postdoctoral degree in finance at the Faculty of Management, Information Technology and Finance at the University of Economics in Wroclaw. In 2017, he was awarded professor title by the Senate of the Warsaw School of Economics. 
Speaker at many conferences in Poland and abroad (i.e. USA, Germany, Belgium, New Zealand), as well as author or co-author of over 80 peer-reviewed scientific publications and nearly 20 expert drafts for banks. He has been visiting researcher at the School of Economics and Finance at Victoria University in Wellington (New Zealand). Lecturer at postgraduate studies at Warsaw School of Economics as well as conducts preparation workshops for auditor candidates.
Member of several scientific organizations, including Polish Association of Finance and Banking (Poland), Alumni Global Village Program Lehigh University (USA), Fachkommission Wirtschfts- und Sozialwissenschaften them. J.G. Herder-Forschungsrat (Germany) and The European Money and Finance Forum – SUERF (Austria).
He specializes in the financial innovations and transformation models of bank financial intermediation.
