In relation to the announcement by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, classes at SGH are suspended from 12 to 25 March 2020. The suspension concerns:
- classes for first, second and third cycle studies, as well as didactic courses, training courses and post-graduate studies – including MBA, as well other forms of instruction conducted at SGH in the traditional manner (involving direct contact),
- thesis defences and all exams,
- consultations conducted in the traditional manner (involving direct contact),
- activities organised under the Academic Sports Association (AZS).
Furthermore, meetings of student organisations, including artistic groups, planned on the university’s premises shall be postponed and SGH Library reading rooms shall be closed.
Distant learning classes will be conducted as before. The university is working on organisational and infrastructural solutions that will enable the continuation of the curriculum in the broadest scope possible in a distant learning mode.
Research and administrative activity of the university will continue as before. The Rector’s Order of 10 March 2020 regarding the prevention of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus causing COVID-19 disease among the community of SGH Warsaw School of Economics remains in force.
According to the Ministry, the imposed limitations shall not affect the elections of university authorities and the procedure should be continued. The Ministry also stated that, for the time being, it does not foresee any need for altering the admission schedule.
