On 1 June 2022 Akio Miyajima, Japanese Ambassador to Poland, delivered a lecture for SGH students as part of „Action Diplomacy”, a project of Student Study Group of Foreign Affairs. The Japanese ambassador also met with Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Jacek Prokop, PhD, SGH Professor and Director of the Center for International Cooperation Katarzyna Kacperczyk. The diplomat also gave an interview to "Gazeta SGH".

In response to the brutal military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the authorities of SGH Warsaw School of Economics have decided to suspend cooperation with universities and institutions from the Russian Federation. Thus, all forms of cooperation provided for in bilateral partnership agreements have been suspended.
As a part of SGH for Ukraine program, we support our Ukrainian students and their families. Together with Humanosh Foundation we’re fundraising to provide all necessary help for them. SGH signed the agreement with the Foundation to support refugees and immigrants arriving to Poland.

We have received the tragic news. On 1 March in the Kiev Oblast, Oleksii Morklianyk – a student of 1st-cycle studies at SGH – died as a result of his injuries. The car in which he was travelling was hit by missile fragments.
